MS-991 Highly Flexible Self Leveling Polyurea Sealant
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
MS 991 is a 2-component, 3:1 ratio, polyurea-based sealant with elasticity, drying in 10 minutes, designed for joint, dilatation points and concrete cracks, which does not contain solvent and volatile components in its structure.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The application area of DUAYEN MS 991 Polyurea sealant is very wide due to its superior characteristics.
Properties:
100% solvent free and free of harmful ingredients.
Due to its flexibility, it is not affected by changing environmental conditions, does not crack and does not deteriorate.
It provides an advantage due to its fast curing time.
It is cast in one piece for wide and deep dilatation spaces (10cmx3cm) and maintains its elasticity.
In bridges and viaducts, chemicals used against precipitation water, frost and icing, and bituminous covers are resistant to horizontal loads from brake and demarage forces, and the resistance it shows in hot asphalt coatings is quite superior to other mastic types.
Since it adheres perfectly to concrete surfaces, it can be applied without the need for primer application.
It is resistant to solvents, dilute acids and bases, so there is no wear.
It is resistant to aviation fuels and solutions at airports.
The material is resistant to UV rays, the surface color may change, but its chemical structure is not affected.
It is resistant to heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
It is suitable for use in the machine. With the use of appropriate machinery, the curing time can be adjusted and an advantage can be obtained in long-length areas.
It shows high resistance to hot joint points.
APPLICATION
Self leveling is used on horizontal surfaces and thixotropic product is used on vertical floors.
The surfaces on which MS 991 will be applied must be free from dust, dirt, moisture, paraffin, wax, curing compounds, shredded materials and oil.
If the concrete crack to be applied is very thin, it should be expanded with appropriate tools to ensure better spread of the material.
The area to be applied is completely closed to the same level with the surface in places such as medium or light traffic load walkways, if it is exposed to heavy loads such as high-tonnage vehicles, it is left a little below the ground level. This sealant protects it from heavy load effects for a long time.
If the surface is smooth, the floor is conditioned by sanding or a sandblasting machine.
If the application will be made with a cartridge, the mouth should be tightly closed at the end of use and a new mixer tip should be attached for the next use.
It should not be exposed to any physical or chemical effects until 2 hours after the application.
The depth may be too high, especially in expanding concrete joints. Here, joint backing should be used to reduce consumption.
