SC-200 Flammable Topcoat Paint
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
DUAYEN SC-200 is a Polyurethane / Acrylic - aliphatic isocyanate based two component, flame retardant topcoat. Semi-matte, color and gloss permanence, flexible structure, excellent adhesion, high solvent and scratch resistance are its distinctive features.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
DUAYEN SC-200 Steel Construction is used in commercial vehicles, various machines, tanks and steel structures. It is preferred as a topcoat in systems where permanent color and gloss are required, resistant to harsh atmospheric conditions such as industry and seaside.
APPLICATION
If the application will be made on polyurethane-based coating materials or epoxy coating, it should be done within 24-48 hours from the curing of the underlying material. In cases exceeding this period, the floor should be sanded or roughened by mechanical methods.
SURFACE PREPARATION: The surface primed with a suitable primer should be clean, dry and free of dirt.
PRIMED/INTERMEDIATE SURFACES: Pay attention to the waiting times between coats on the primed and/or undercoat applied surface. It is recommended to roughen the surface before the topcoat application on the finished surfaces.
REtouch/REPAIR APPLICATION: The surface to be retouched/repaired should be cleaned from grease, dust and other impurities with the help of suitable organic solvents, detergent and pressurized water. Cleaned surfaces should be primed using a suitable primer. Suitable for dry, cleaned and/or primed surface touch-up/repair painting.
UNPRIMER AND/OR NON-STEEL METALS: It is recommended to consult our Technical Service for Aluminum, Galvanized, Stainless steel, concrete and plastic surfaces.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: In order to obtain the most suitable results, the paint application surface temperature should be +10, +30 °C and the relative humidity should be maximum 80%. In order to avoid moisture condensation on the surface, the surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point of the air. Good ventilation is required for applications in indoor environments so that drying can occur.
DUAYEN SC-200 Polyurethane Topcoat Paint should be mixed using a mechanical mixer until it becomes homogeneous. Viscosity should be adjusted by using the recommended hardener and thinner, taking into account the mixing ratio, pot life and application equipment specified in the technical specifications section. After the mixture is prepared, it should be rested for 15 minutes before starting the application.
Following the completion of the surface preparation processes before applying the paint, the recommended wet film thickness should be painted using appropriate equipment in order to obtain the desired dry film thickness.
APPLICATION METHODS: 20°C is recommended for optimal results. The most appropriate application settings should be determined by considering application conditions, ambient temperature, film thicknesses and equipment information.
